Women’s Informal Network wishes you a very Happy Birthday! Women’s Informal Network (WIN) Founder’s Day Celebrates 28 Years. This is a grand milestone for a grand person, and you deserve all the accolades you receive. You have been looking forward to this special birthday, and we have been looking forward to celebrating it with you. You are an inspiration and an example of the power of perseverance. We commend you for your lifelong efforts on behalf of African American women, and for your business acumen. Thank you for your leadership. You are a phenomenal woman!
WIN, a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization, was founded in 1992 by Patricia A. Cole. Ms. Cole realized that women made up 50% of Detroit’s population at that time, and were not adequately represented. She brought together 57 women who shared her vision of celebrating, supporting and nurturing African American women. WIN has been empowering African American women in metropolitan Detroit for 28 years. Its mission is “to promote the growth and development of African American women in metropolitan Detroit.” To learn more about our organization, please visit our website at www.womensinformalnetwork.com.
